The History of Christmas
Once again we see the Big Three waiting for a response from the House and Senate which will determine their fate, but more importantly nearly 3 million Americans await the fate of their jobs. While the government considers the bailout funding, many Americans prepare for the worse. While many attempt to slam Unions, the UAW offered real concessions to help assist GM, Ford, and Chysler in these difficult times. Here’s a few facts that you probably won’t hear from the media:
1. UAW supports bipartisan compromise.
- It's good news that Congressional leaders and the White House are working on a bipartisan compromise to assist domestic automakers.
2. Bankruptcy is not an option; inaction by Congress is not an option.
- We must find a solution this week that keeps the doors open at America's auto plants.

The reality is that we cannot afford to stand by and wait for the government to “debate” the necessity of the loan. Instead we need to call our Senators, and demand they do what’s right for America by voting in favor of the loan. You can contact your Senator by calling the Capital Hill Switchboard at 1-877-331-1223 or by calling their D.C. offices directly.
