Wage Increase and Bonus
It is our commitment to keep all workers at TBB informed. When many Americans health care costs are increasing to overwhelming amounts or losing it all together, ours is only going up by a few cents an hour. While many face lower wages, we are getting raises or a lump sum bonus. This is because we have a Union negotiated contract. According to our ratified contract the following will take place on October 15th, 2008.
Health Care
The monthly employee contribution rates will be increased to:
- $35 per month for individuals
- $60 per month for an employee and one dependent
- $90 per month for family
This only amounts to an additional $2.31/ $4.62/ $4.62 (amounts may slightly vary depending upon number of pay periods each month) per week. All health care contribution are pre tax.
Wages
- Assembly Technicians and Machine Operators will receive a .30 cent an hour pay raise
- Grade 4 Skilled Trades with Journeyman equal to eight (8) years of experience or a bona fide Apprenticeship Program will receive a .25 cent an hour pay raise
- Employees who are not eligible for either of the above stated raises and with at least one year of company seniority will receive a $500 bonus.
